WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

Crossfit is a fitness program that consists of a variety of functional movements preformed at a high intensity. These movements are applied at a level relative to your abilities whilst increasing your fitness capacity over different time and modal domains. Crossfit develops broad and general fitness capabilities that prepares you for the unknown because in life you rarely know what you are going to come up against.

What We Stand For

 Crossfit Ivory (founded 2013 by Erich and Ettiene Barkhuizen) aims to be the place where anyone can experience an awesomely challenging workout. When you leave you should feel better than ever. We have a holistic approach to fitness training and take the bigger picture into consideration. By combining the best aspects of a gym, wellness center and medical organization we are redefining what a gym can. Take the hardest step and show up, we’ll take care of the rest.

I take each person’s unique fitness ability and support them and mould them towards their desired results.  Programming workouts comes natural and I have a distinctive way of making people work hard, enjoy and come back for more.

It gives me great joy to see my clients transform and become better not only at the gym but in life.

What Makes Es a unique Coach?

What makes me a unique coach when it comes to people and their challenges in life, I have patience and understanding to their situation

I understand everyone has their different needs and capabilities so I remain cognisant about individual challenges  when it comes to exercise toward the goals they want to achieve..

Weightlifting is my passion and I drive these hard within the CrossFit ambit.

Who am I?

 I am a coach at Crossfit Ivory.


My Ideal Client:

Someone who not only listens but takes heed to what coaches say and is willing to work hard for results, even if these results take time. It is not about rushing to fitness it is about getting their and being consistent.

I also enjoy working with clients who are not scared to push themselves beyond there comfort zone.

My ideal client is someone that isn’t afraid to try something new. Trying something new does come without its challenges, but when you try and even if you fail that you are not discouraged from trying again.
